Music Makers/Intro. to Keyboard (5+ years as of August, 2023)
This year long class begins with a nature themed class that cultivates your child's musical development through singing, story telling, poetry, movement, playing instruments, ensemble work, ear training and listening. Music literacy is introduced through simple musical patterns and games. Second semester the Musikgarten keyboard curricula is introduced. Children will begin to learn to play the songs we have been learning in class through simple pattern work. Families will be given the tools they need to assist their child at home as they begin their journey into instrumental skill and literacy.
Semester 1- Cattail Marsh & Meadow
Parent Orientation, Sept. 10th at 2:30 (adults only)
Parent Visit, October 30th during class time
Mondays, 4:50-5:30, August 28th - Dec. 11th (no classes Sept. 4, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, 25, Jan. 1)
Tuition & Materials- $365 (includes registration fee, Parent Orientation, 14 lessons and 2 Music Packets and CDs)
Semester 2- Introduction to the Keyboard
Jan. 15th closed for MLK Day
Feb. 5th Mini-Musicale (children perform, receive trophies & reception)
Feb. 12th closed for Lundi Gras
Mar. 4th Parent Class (Intro. to the Keyboard) childcare provided and used keyboards available for purchase.
Apr. 1st closed for Spring Break
May 13th Parent Visit, last class of the school year
